The “Cape of Good Hope” in the International Financial City of Tokyo
Becoming a Global Financial Hub Demanded by the International Community
The "Cape of Good Hope" symbolizes the opening of new routes and opportunities during the Age of Discovery. Building on the significant "inflection point" achieved last year in Tokyo's development as an international financial city, this event seeks to chart "new routes" to shape the future of Tokyo as a leading global financial hub.
Since its establishment in April 2019, the FinCity.Tokyo initiative has operated as a public-private partnership, striving to realize the vision of Tokyo as a premier international financial city. Driven by the belief that "finance can solve societal challenges and drive sustainable economic growth in Tokyo and across Asia," FinCity.Tokyo continues to push the boundaries of what a financial hub can achieve.
Now in its sixth year, this event will convene experts from Japan and abroad to explore what is necessary to further enhance Tokyo's standing as a globally competitive financial city. The discussions will delve into three critical themes essential to the advancement of Tokyo as a financial hub:
● Developing innovative ideas to implement Green Transformation (GX) strategies through asset management.
● Supporting the sustained growth of statrup companies.
● Advancing the wealth management sector, including family offices.
In addition, the event will be closely linked with the "ABAC Sustainable Finance Seminar," held as a side event the day before, and the "Tokyo Asset Management Forum," taking place on the same day. These collaborations aim to foster meaningful dialogues among stakeholders in the asset management sector.
We hope these two days will provide a valuable opportunity to incorporate diverse perspectives from both domestic and international participants, paving the way for the future development of Japan’s financial markets and solidifying Tokyo’s position as a global financial leader.
